The Words: : *deep breath* there is a scientific theory, in its infancy, which suggests that if the universe ends with all matter converging on a single point in a Ôbig crunchÕ then an exponentially increasing amount of energy will be available to any beings living in that space. Ultimately this amount of energy will become infinite. Should those beings be able to harness that power to run computer simulations they would be able to model whatever they wished to an unlimited level of detail. They could retrieve information about everything which has ever happened from the beams of light which have been bouncing around the universe since it began. This could include me and you. There is no law of physics which prevents this happening (apparently). Those beings, therefore, could resurrect in a computer everyone who ever lived Ð to such a level of detail that it would be indistinguishable from real life. They could grant all those resurrected eternal life and infinite pleasure. Sounds ace. However, personally, I think I spent too much time plugged into a computer as it is.
