The Turner Prize circus comes to Birmingham's Space Banana this April when artist John Rogers will be staging an open submission competition entitled THE TURNER PRIZE SHOW. Artists from the region are invited to create their own version of an artwork by any of the previous 74 Turner Prize nominees (or an aspect of the Prize itself) and compete for the GRAND PRIZE of £20. The GRAND PRIZE CEREMONY will be held on April 20th at Space Banana when a panel of judges will select the winner. The ceremony will feature performances, smart dress and free bubbly and will be a WONDERFUL EVENING of hype, controversy, sex, drugs and contemporary art.

HOW TO ENTER

Create a work based on a piece by one of the past 74 Turner Prize nominees. This can be in any format or medium. However, it should be no taller or wider than 1 metre, or for wall-based work no larger than A2. If you wish to submit video work, It must be received by April 9th. Video entries will be compiled onto a showreel.
Entry into the Turner Prize Show is free. All entries will be exhibited. A list of all the past nominees can be found online at -

Space Banana will be open for delivery of entries on the following dates and times -
Tuesday 13th - Friday 16th April
(1.30pm-5pm daily)
Late opening Thursday 15th (till 7.30pm)
