STARE

'Stare' by John Rogers is an interactive live art piece that seeks to examine and redefine the 'rules of engagement' between artist and audience. On the night of the event the artist will make unbroken eye contact with each member of the audience for a full 2 minutes. Concerned with the often 'passive' role of the art object and the 'distant' presence of the artist, John Rogers has here attempted to reverse the balance. The art object has been removed from the equation and replaced with a living installation that will look back directly into the eyes of the viewer.
